Lang McLaughry Commercial is located in the heart of the Upper Valley, along the Connecticut River. Being uniquely positioned within the Upper Valley allows us to serve both the Vermont and New Hampshire sides. Although we will sometimes venture further to assist clients, we generally serve the core towns of Lebanon and Hanover in NH, and Norwich and Hartford in Vermont, with those four towns alone comprising approx. 50% of the total Upper Valley population and nearly 75% of the total number of jobs. We are also fortunate to have both Dartmouth College and the outstanding medical facility of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as close neighbors and strong employers of literally thousands of area residents.
The graduate schools at Dartmouth, the Tuck School of Business, the Thayer School of Engineering and the Dartmouth Medical School, have also served as the start-up and proving grounds for many area businesses who have made their home here and thrived on the strong and reliable workforce and population base who enjoy relatively easy commuting routes in I-89 and I-91. Companies like Hypertherm, Bio-Gen, Timken Aerospace, Tecnica USA, Moto Tassinari, Novo Nordisk US, and Tom Tom just to name a few. Lebanon is also home to the Lebanon International Airport as well as most of the largest retailers in the country.
A large part of our attraction is the vast amount of outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking/mountain climbing, biking, golf, kayaking/boating and swimming, to name a few. During the summer months, you’ll also find numerous farmers’ markets in most of the towns in the Upper Valley, selling locally grown and raised vegetables and meats. We also have a wonderful and growing art community from fine art at the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College to the performing arts at the Barrette Center in White River Junction, VT and at Dartmouth as well. Incredible dining options are also abundant.
